Families Can Apply Now For BCPS Magnet Program

Baltimore County Public Schools students and families can tune in to virtual application information meetings Saturday and next Wednesday.

BCPS has approximately 120 elementary, middle and high school magnet programs in 32 schools across the county.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Families are able to apply now through Nov. 6 for Baltimore County Public Schools’ magnet programs. BCPS magnet programs are theme-oriented courses of study that provide students with in depth experiences in specialized areas of interest. BCPS has approximately 120 elementary, middle and high school magnet programs in 32 schools across the county.

Students and families can tune in to virtual application information meetings Saturday at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. and Sept. 30 at 10 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Online pre-registration is required for the application information meetings.

Applications for magnet programs must be postmarked by Nov. 6, (certified mailing recommended) or submitted online by 1 p.m. that day. Admission decisions for elementary and middle school magnet programs will be announced Feb. 5. Decisions about high school magnet admissions will be announced March 5.
